Another day, another year
2nd Jan 2005, and the end of the holiday period approaching fast.
I’m here in Redhill “helping” my mate as best I can, but generally just getting in the way. Although I am quite good at making the tea, and fetching things providing he can point at it and say “that ……..” – oh well.
Back to work on Tue, from what I understand there are a few desk moves going on rearranging the people into new working groups.
My new laptop is all loaded up with the applications, just need the “working data” to be installed to make it a working tool as opposed to an expensive dvd player as it is at the moment (lovely screen tho’).
Welcome
Hey! Welcome to the year of 2005..
A break at last.
Well finally got my hot chocolate at Starbucks, and a nice slice of blueberry cheesecake.
Been playing with my new laptop over the past couple of days – battery seems good, watched the whole of ‘I Robot’ in bed last night, and the battery still has half capacity left – but time will tell.
Got myself a slip over for the beastie today, you should always protect your investment, I hope it will have a long and fruitful life
2004 has not been a good year for me, with both my parents having heart surgery, it’s been a little stressful and something we now want to put behind us. I’m hoping that 2005 will be better.
My car? well the new loom is in, but we now have no spark. The diagnostics show the immobiliser cannot see the engine management hence the car will not start. My friend who is working onn the car is a real trooper and I really appreciate his dedication and help, but I’m no use at all and barely function as a ‘gofer’, it seems that as we fix one problem another appears – prob’ spent a good £1,600 now plus all the time spent on the car, at what point do you say ‘ok, cut the losses and move on’???
Like I said, 2004 has not been a good year!
