I’m expecting a “nice” quiet evening in datacentre – I have do do some MS patching on the servers, and some archiving of the data. Routine stuff, but sometimes a bit time consuming..

If anything happens that is interesting – I’ll report back, but I’m not expecting any surprises..

Jeeeeez, what a day.

Spent the morning chasing problems, and fixing stuff (I know it’s my job but there was hassle involved).

All afternoon was spent raising Change Requests for working late tomorrow, of course is also involved risk assesments which are also time consuming.

Finish it off, assist in the prep for a system design – meeting at 17:30

Back to work, starting to get back into the routine.

Here’s a question, why wear shirtt/tie when you work for a service where 90% or the client contact is via email or phone? Before we moved to the new ofgfice we wore casual clothes, quality of work did not decline. Traditions within British service industries are quite strange.

Almost to the end of an exciting day at the office. Only another 30 mins to go.
