Well, while I was in the West side of the island I found a techonological failure — no 3G connection

Anyhow, this is the hotel I booked myself into for Friday night! It’s in my favourite area of the island called "Freshwater", and this of course is they bay.

Let’s stop for Pimms – at Newport

I’ve stopped at Newport described as the "capital of the island" by the local estate agent. Hmmm, 2 hours in the parking meter was way (way, way… way) to much time!

Spent the afternoon at Amazon, giant greenhouses maintaining the tropical climate.

Some happy animals and looking at them, a few depressed – reminds me of work!

Had an enjoyable night listening to the sea.

Today, I visited the wax works, surprisingly no changes in 2years since my last visit.

Just having lunch at the moment on the Sandown pier. Them then later off to the Amazon..

There seems to be a big storm brewing, the window in my room looks into the bay so should be interesting.

Got the room booked fortif second day, plan to look at the east side of the island tomorrow.

Finally made it to the ferry. Now waiting to leave

tonights room is booked, but still can’t get in touch with the other B&B. Oh the excitement..
