As it was such a lousy day weather wise I stayed inland, and decided to visit Newport’s Island History Museum;
.. wonder how long this guy has been standing on the rock; a long time I guess he was bored stiff (hehe).
Looking at the beach in Ryde, it was empty! very unusual for a Bank Holiday! could I be the weather?
Always impressed by the hovercraft, as you can see in the pictures when the tide goes out in Ryde it goes way.. way.. way out!
As well as having its own Steam Railway the island has its own electric railway; to be honest it looks much like the London Underground..
One new attraction I missed last time was Appley Castle (watch tower), one of the smallest castles I’ve ever seen!
