Day started off quiet chilled; breakfast and a couple of tweets to the guys. Read the Sunday papers in the lounge until 11am then checked out the Life Boat in the bay.
Joys of the seaside; sun, sea and ice creams
After stretching my legs I took a drive along A3055 from Freshwater to Blackgang. The views as always were awesome; totally unspoilt.
I continued East towards St Lawrence and stopped at Ventnor for walk along the sea front and to grab an ice cream.
Driving around the island anti-clockwise through Sandown and through Newport, I decided to stop off at Yarmouth on the west side of the island.
I’d driven through Yarmouth often enough, but had never stopped off, with Yarmouth Castle built by Henry VIII completed in 1547, its purpose was to protect the country from the French and Spanish – now owned by the National Trust.
.. looking back to Yarmouth Pier.
Back in the hotel now, and as I’ve been typing this blog post; a huge blanket of fog has swept over the bay..
.. seriously its not my thumb print on the lens, and its turned a bit chilly ..
