With Christmas just a fading memory, it's time to take a breather and reflect on not just the recent couple of weeks but the year as a whole.
You're all aware I'm sure of my families recent loss, but it's time to take the advice I've given to friends – look back at the good times, how your friends have enriched your own lives. Too often we concerntrate on sad time because the effect us so much – but think of the good times, smile and reflect; you'll soon find your heart lifted. Good advice, so as you read this post, take a few deep breaths and think for a moment about the good things that happened in the past year; post a comment if you feel inspired.
Traditionally this time of year has always been a breathing space between Christmas and the New Year at time to review the past year and prepare yourself for the year ahead – take the time to breath.

Thanks for a nice post! Yep – very true – time to take a breather. (Lost my mom just before Christmas a few years back too).
Always an odd time is the time between Christmas and New Year. But positive too. The Christmas break serves as a time to recoup inspiration and some energy as well as those positive thoughts and hope for the year ahead!
Looking forward to my 2009, don’t know as yet what it will bring in full, and if my resolution ideas will ever come to being, but the new year serves as a fresh beginning which is always good!
Have fun!
