Well its was Saturday morning and it was time to go home; my ferry back was at 16:30 so I packed and checked out spending some time in the Bay before going East bound.
I headed towards Ventnor, and being the brave chap that I am – I popped into Ventnor Botanic Gardens (yes, I’m a hay fever sufferer).
The gardens built on a site of a hospital are over a number of levels in the cliffs; interestingly this garden has its own micro-climate – feeling hotter than normal parts of the island. I’ll post some of the more “dramatic” pictures, and some of the surprising inhabitants.
I ventured into the Tropical Rainforest Greenhouse it was 36 degrees C, and 100% humidity… phew!
Finished with a Tuna melt in the Bistro and went on to Ventnor beech to say goodbye;
I went onto Sandown, but couldn’t find a parking space so I left for East Cowes to catch the ferry; below are a couple of pictures, sorry for the poor quality of the pictures I left the camera in the car and only had the iPhone;

SpeedCat (I think), damn fast..

Another one of the Red Funnel Ferries going into East Cowes

First of the 3 cruise ships leaving Southampton

The pictures above show the largest cruise ship in the world (currently), you can see another ferry next to it for comparison.

Lastly the third cruise ship to leave Southampton, busy day.
Well that concludes my holiday snaps for my holiday in IoW, I plan to have another holiday later in the year; destination currently unknown…
