Business at work has been chugging along, a number of smaller priojects are running with the large hardware refresh on the horizon.

Problems at home, would you believe that Dad collaspsed at hospital while Mum was waiting in the cardiac clinic on Wednesday! Needless to say he was in the right place. He’s passed out a number of times, last time I witnessed it at home, during the event his blood pressure was very low.

He “recovered” to a concious state, and was moved to A&E, they performed a number of tests and confirmed it wasn’t a heart attack which was good news. They kept him in for a further couple of days performing a number of scans and tests, although they produced no conclusive results.

He was released him back into the wild yesterday (Sat.), with the promise they would be calling him back to hook him up to a mobile monitor for a couple of days…

Mum’s health continues to have good and bad days; the recent escapades with Dad didn’t help but it’s unavoidable. Mum’s next date to discuss “what to do next” with the surgeon is in June; to operate and possibly fix the problem, or not…

Talking to the converted…

Another week approaches, my business phone is being trasferred to O2 in the next couple of weeks, and as there is an O2 roadshow in the office on Monday I’m going to enquire about an iPhone for business use. Its time I upgraded my Nokia 6110, mind you I divert all calls to my personal phone…

Work wise another busy week collating AV updates reviewing forgotten installations and checking version numbers. Its funny looking back over the years where I was flown 1st class to Dallas twice a year to ensure Windows SAP security was up to scratch for a leading oil company, and prior to that I was designing and implementing Disaster Recovery solutions for the same companies datacentre in Paris. Funny how things change huh?

Ever thought you were trapped in some sort of groundhog day?

Well here I am drinking a Latte in SB’s in Croydon. A typical day in you may say? Well thats the problem – its typical.

Ever though you were trapped in some sort of groundhog day? – or maybe not?

Of course it’s not possible, for a change I’m sitting in a completely different seat…
