Mtv’s CRIBS:Priciest Pads

Just watched the most costliest Mtv Cribs – Wow!

#2 on the list at $50M was the playboy mansion – but #1 made my day! Nope, not a rapper, not even a yank!

#1 valued at 3x the value of the #2 slot at $150M was owned by Sir Richard Brandson – a BRIT!

74 acres
10 bedrooms
10 baths

Tick… Tick…

Done my shopping, Amazon to the rescue again. In Sutton drinking a Hot Chocolate, the hustle and bussle going on around me; a crying child in the distance – Christmas is truly here!

Got a Skype call from Andrew in the US, he’s currently in Illinois… Always good to hear from him; but sorry Andrew not a good time for me to do a video call (still in pj’s at the time).

The thing about Christmas is; it’s just like an over hyped movie, the lead  up seems to last for ever (1st started to see references to Christmas in October). The pressure and excitement increases the closer it gets and then it happens, you blink and its gone. Some will enjoy the event; some will not, some will experience deja vous… Only time will tell.

Before you know it there will be Valentines cards and Cadburys Creame Eggs in the shops, and you’ll be in the queue to return that sweater with the snowman on the front that aunty bought for you…

Speed:: About bloody time!!

Well, after the nation broadband outage earlier this week it’s good to have the connection back up and running again.

Performed a speedtest (at htttp://www.speedtest.net ) and I’m glad to say that for once I’m getting the speed that I’m actually paying for..

tick tick…

Christmas comes ever closer, the streets are busy with parents searching high and low for presents on a neverending wishlist.

I myself have searched hi and lo for an elusive gift; a long fruitless journey, and still nowhere to go for a Wii.

Business demads are high, and resources are low, like demented parents out for the holiday shop, managers are throwing money around for overtime trying to keep its head above the water, and the clients happy.

The freeze is approaching where business stops, and offices close – personally I can’t wait.

Return of the SB post

Well, I know you’ve missed my regular SB post; so here it is…

Its been a fun month (November) the return to work, copious interviews with Health & Safety and other departments both internal and external to the company! But back now providing I take regular breaks and no heavy lifting.

The iPhone arrived and passed; they estimated 50,000 sales in its first weekend, but it only just broke 10,000. Its said that people believe its too expensive, and the 18 month contact costly when similar, or higher spec’d Windows Mobile devices are free with better costs and contracts.

Its officially the Christmas period, madness is on the streets and not a Wii to be found… What a surprise.
