On the ferry, in the bar!? Yo-ho yo-ho… Arrrrr, get some rum in bouy
IoW Day1
Well people, I’m sitting in my car waiting for the Red Funnel ferry to arrive – this is my first post from my laptop using the Nokia e61 as an internet connection source. It’s a bit strange sitting here, but what the hell.
The Ferry has just arrived.
IoW Day 1
Left at 9:30 this morning on my way to Southampton to catch my ferry to Isle of Wight (IoW)… Just stopped off for some breakfast.
Ferry leaves at 1pm and arrives at Cowes erm.. some time later
Booked into a hotel in Freshwater Bay.. i’ll let you know what it’s like when I get there..
SB Monday post
Today it’s wet, in fact it’s VERY wet!
Again, I’m sitting it Starbucks having a Hazelnet Latte its nice and warming.
My Mum is in hospital, she was taken there on Thu last week for a serious build up of water dispite taking pills to reduce the problem. I went to see her yesterday she’s settled in OK and the water is reducing slowly.
i’m reassured that Mum is being looked after, my Aunt is currently staying with us but she’s not feeling all that great either. I’m leaving for the Isle of Wight tomorrow, sadly I couldn’t cancel without loosing 100% of the booking.
at least it’s still local, but as always she will be a worry to me…
Now I’m Scared!!!

Day 5: home..
I left the B&B at about 11am, and arrived home about 3:30pm – the 390 mile trip was an enjoyable one, only marred by the fact that YourDay DVD wasn’t functioning I had hoped to capture pictures of the day but I guess it wasn’t ment to be…
Day 4: fin..
With the day over I’m "relaxing" in a B&B about 7 miles from park – small and quaint, although the view is quite something – a public footpath outside my window and a clear view of Sainsburys carpark – nice.
Day 4: cont..
Decided to make my way through the “Katanga Canyon”…

Runaway Mine Train: A true classic, your bread and butter ride classically themed. Although one thing catches you out, the acceleration although not as high at its big brothers certainly takes you by surprise. The eclectic motors whisk you silently through the hills and dips, powering you through the sweeping bends with smooth and silent determination.
Day 4: cont..
After a quick check on the queues, I opted to ride the…

Corkscrew: I used my priority pass to skip right to the front of the queue, and they gave me the choice of where to sit on an empty set of wheels – I chose the front car. You can tell it’s age the ride was far from smooth, and suffers against it’s sister at Thorpe Park.
Day 4: cont..
The park is still quiet, had a disappointment apparently the “YourDay DVD” is still being tested and wont be working until Sat, even though the website and staff believe it to be working.

Hex – The Legend of the Towers: Goes to show that a simple idea borrowed from the turn of the century can be reused with such effectiveness. Tagged with a spooky story the result is worth a visit. Ask me if you want to know more…
