Film: Ghost Rider

Ghostrider

Synopsis: Based on the Marvel character, "Ghost Rider" is the story of motorcycle stunt performer, Johnny Blaze, who agrees to become the host of a "spirit of vengeance" in exchange for the safety of his true love, but the price he pays is to be cursed with the avenging spirit that takes its form at night as a demon with a flaming skull on a motorcycle of hellfire. Conclusion: Excellent movie, following on from the great works of Marvel Comics. The Film was edgy and dark with the battling Good – oh scratch that, Bad vs. Bad (actually). There was a part in the movie I thought to myself "Right, you’ve set the scene.. next bit…" but it went on.. and on.. you’ll know the bit when you see it. Apart from that it’s worth a shot.

Big surprise..

Big surprise..
Big surprise..
Had my Apple training, yes it is in the showroom and I was the only one there!

It turned out to be a more of a 1-2-1 customised training with two workshops squished into one (iMOVIE and iDVD). My trainer Alex (not shown) was very competent and knew his products and was able to answer all my questions and show examples.

I was very happy with the training, although a group training maybe more difficult. Overal I would recommend the workshops, but I cannot comment on one of the the true workshops, I was told by Alex that this closely represented what could be expected from one of their ProCare sittings.

Film: The Illusionist

Theillusionist

Sysnopsis: Eisenheim (Edward Norton) is a stage magician who amazes the audiences of turn-of-the-century Vienna, drawing the attention of Crown Prince Leopold (Rufus Sewell). When the Prince’s intended, Sophie von Teschen (Jessica Biel), assists the magician onstage, Eisenheim and Sophie recognize each other from their childhoods — and a dormant love affair is rekindled. As the clandestine romance continues, Chief Inspector Uhl (Paul Giamatti) is charged by Leopold to expose Eisenheim, and Eisenheim prepares to execute his greatest illusion yet. Conclusion: It had great potential, but I was waiting, and waiting… and waiting. The effects were good, fascinating concept and a good story, but it it just didn’t really do it for me. "The Prestige" still my favourite in this category ( blog entry ).

Day of rest…

Day of rest...
Took a couple days off was a tough and that was only Monday! Just made it through Tuesday and it was decided that I needed some time off to destress.

Well 1st day and it seems to be working – decided I may see a film later on in the week and pick up some free Apple training in Bluewater on Friday (make a long day of it)..

I suspect that the mixture sensor in the Beetles exhaust is going to fail completely soon as I cleared the alert of Saturday and it lit up again yesterday – a trip to AMD I think maybe due…
