Synopsis: Having been absent from earth for several years, Superman (newcomer Brandon Routh) returns to the planet only to find that much has changed. His oldest adversary Lex Luthor (Kevin Spacey) has dastardly plans for world domination, while former love Lois Lane (Kate Bosworth) has moved on with her life and even has a child of her own. As he battles to save the planet, the Man of Steel must also therefore embark on a journey of self-discovery and redemption.
Conclusion: Wow! I had a lot of expectations of this movie, as the movie started – I wondered to myself, am I in the wrong movie? The guy who did the credits at the start obviously wanted to do the intro for Star Wars! Flying through trenches down into an exhaust vent.. weird..
Overall the movie was very typical superhero flick; should I expect anything less? yes I guess I should, XMEN-3 had lots of twists and turns and Superman Returns although a good film had no real surprises.
Go and see it, but don’t expect too much from it.
