Another Starbucks adventure
Would you believe it, another bank holiday; tomorrow is a big day for bikers. It’s traditional for them to go to Hastings for the day.. So if you’re not a biker, and intend on going to the coast give Hastings a wide berth, unless you like bikes
Really need to get my head into gear, I need to refresh my web skills – Ruby looks very intersting, I’m still considering buying a second hand mac-mini just to see what all the fuss is about..
Anyhow my banana caramel frappachino (?) awaits…
Last post
This is more than likely the last post from the coast today – I’ve got a coffee and I’m sitting here on a bench by Dover harbor…
Well its started to rain and Dover Castle is a long way away, so I don’t think I’ll be walking there today…
Just as a footnote the engine management light came on again about 20mins ago – sign, I really thought we had that one sorted…
Sunday morning breakfast
Well, I survived the night – had some strange dreams though.
The pictures you see is from the Deal pier there is a small café at the end where I’m having breakfast. No real plans for the rest of the day, the forecast is rain so I may drive along the coast a little and then head back after lunch, see how we go…
Hotel view
Well, decided to stay in a hotel for the night
Deal has a lot of fond memories, when I was about 7 my family and cousins family used to rent a house in the side streets off the sea front and I remember clearly the very low ceilings and going to sleep in the evenings listening to the sea, and sometimes you would hear the fog horns from the light house… When life was simple, and worry free…
Guess where I am today
Can you guess where I am today? Its nice and sunny with a cool breeze coming off the sea..
These is a building for sale here, that I had visions for – perhaps I’ll post a picture of it, I’m not sure if this is the right area for the business though…
Perhaps more pictures later as my journey continues…
Last day.
Well, last day of my holiday – didn’t quite get all the things done I wanted to, I wanted to take some bikes out for a test drive – oh well.
l got my hair cut, but I think she cut a little short.I’m really tring to grow it longer, its typical on why way to the barbars I saw four styles I liked, trouble is I can’t describe them and it would be weird if I took pictures, probably get arrested!
Oh well, give it another month or so grow it a bit longer… See what happens.
Finished!
Beetle gets taped
Here’s Bettle, the pop-up spoiler was getting a bit pitted so I took it down to my local sign writers to put a vinyl strip across the top
Holiday; Day 1 – Beetle Bits
Well, after yesterdays little 120mile road trip around the south coast I decided to take it easy again today.
After a nice lay in I did a little development on the computer and phoned around to get some prices.
To get the windows tinted wuld cost about £220, I had to think about that! I had my car washed, and while the guy in charge cleaned the wheels he noticed that the car hadn’t been cleaned properly so he sent it through again for no extra charge.
I had a look for some vinyl sign writers, I wanted to get a reflective stip for the pop up spoiler – the place I visited didn’t have any stuff in stock but gave me a couple of places to try.
Just sitting outside Starbucks at the moment having a latte will get moving in a minute cos its getting a bit chilly.
Brighton Pier
Jezz, some new rides at the pier, the Booster goes over 100 feet in the air ~ plus you have the classic Waltzer..
