The 3pm showing of "King Kong" awaits – no monkey business, the king has arrived!
Synopsis: The tale begins in 1930’s New York when beautiful young actress Ann Darrow (Naomi Watts) teams up with Carl Denham (Jack Black), an irrepressible film maker and entrepreneur.
Whilst filming on location on the mysterious Skull Island, they come across a giant gorilla living in a jungle where creatures have remained undisturbed for millions of years.
Their search for the gigantic ape leads to encounters both with Kong and the other prehistoric inhabitants of the island. Kong’s fate is sealed when he is finally subdued by the attentions of the beautiful Ann and he ends up being shipped back to New York, destined for a future on display to the public.
However, things don’t go entirely according to plan….
Conclusion: Wow! This is a true Epic – one that will last and last. Building on the classic movie, this remake is a winner! The pictures and images are classic 1930′s, the characters and acting is marvellous! I’ll certainly be buying this on DVD – highly recommended, go see it!
